The Pax-S Card Shuffler can better handle certain cards with a change to the top brake roller. The standard setup, the top and bottom brake rollers are both aluminum rollers. The optional setup is to replace the top roller with a urethane roller. The bottom roller remains an aluminum roller.
Installation instructions
Remove outfeed and infeed trays
Remove the two socket head screws attaching the brake roller shaft
Remove the shaft and roller assembly
Remove the e-ring from one side of the roller
Remove aluminum roller, install urethane roller
The roller has a one way clutch, position roller so it stops when a card passes
If the oval washers are deformed, replace with heavy round washers C40-00470
Install shaft and roller assembly with socket head screws and washers
Snug screws and back off 1/8 to ΒΌ turn
Adjust clearance between top and bottom rollers with two cards.
The two card clearance is only for the urethane roller.
Press lightly on the top roller and tighten screws. Only a slight amount of drag on the top card is needed for this setup. The clearance should be equal across the entire roller
