Roulette Test with Laptop
Testing Roulette Wheel with a tech Laptop:
On the laptop, create an AGS folder on the C: Drive.
Copy the AGS.Tables.Roulette folder into the AGS folder just created.
Connect the TCS USB adapter to power and to an open USB port on the PC
Open Device Manager on the PC, expand out the “Ports (COM & LPT)” tree, find the listing for “USB
Serial Port (COMx)” and get the COM port assignment (COM3 in the below example).
**If the USB Serial Port does not show a COM number, you may need to install the driver located at the top of this page. **
Right click Open with Word Pad “ConfigurationSettings.xml” file from inside the AGS.Tables.Roulette folder.
Find the setting for “ReaderPort” and change the COM port number to match the assignment from Device Manager.
Config is preset to COM3 so if that’s the assignment in device manager, there is no need to change this setting. Save changes if any change is made.
Verify the TCS wheel has an ethernet cable connected to port 1 or port A on the wheel, and that the
wheel is connected to power (power adapter should be connected right next to the network ports on
the wheel. This should already be in place, we are not providing a power adapter for the wheel itself).
The other end of the ethernet cable connected to the wheel should be connected to the supplied TCS
adapter. Once all connections and power have been verified,Run the roulette client application from inside the AGS.Tables.Roulette folder:
Give the program about 15-20 seconds to finish loading, then slowly spin the roulette wheel allowing for 3 full revolutions of the wheel, then spin the ball in the wheel (ball must be spun well enough to remain in the rim of the wheel for 3 full revolutions, otherwise results may not recognize). Once the ball spins, you should see the “Ball Guy” animation begin of the ball avatar running around the wheel. Once the ball lands in a pocket, you should see a result generated in about 6-10 seconds.
If results generate and accurately report the winning number, the test has been successful. If any issues, please contact Table Games Engineering for further troubleshooting.
