The following steps need to be followed and noted in your ticket before ordering a new Spectra Logic for the issues below.

No boot

  1. Check the IO board for a burnt chip. If the chip has a spot like the picture below you need to replace the logic box.
If the logic will not boot and there is no spot in this IO board, reseat the board and try again.

  2. disconnect all wires from the back-plane (seen below) except the DC12 which powers the logic. If it boots up at that point you have a short somewhere in the cabinet.

  3. Re-seat the Bios chips. This step may be necessary as we swap the bios chips when replacing the logic. The bios chips are needed to for the logic to boot.

23.12 after power cycle

  1. Verify the NVRam Battery is connected.

  2. Verify the battery is producing 3+ volts from Red to Black. We have had some batteries only produce 1.7v

  3. Run the NCFI tool as there was a firmware update for the logic pertaining to the NVRam Battery.

No video to Topper

The game needs to have the following:

  • OS 21.2 or newer

  • bios 112.N

Follow this step.

Swap out the display-port cable to the top monitor. We have had reports from the field that using an NEW Dispalypoert cable to the topper has resolved this issue in multiple locations.

If you have following all these steps and it still doesn't work make sure to note that info in your ticket. Upload a Game config picture to prove you have the correct OS and BIOS. Grab logs and be ready to send them to the TAC agent when they ask for them.
