Perform a RAM Clear Class 3
Atlas: For initial setup, the game needs to power up with the System CF installed until the game shows a Fatal File Error Problem reading Jurisdiction.xml.
Atlas 3D: Ram Clear the game first. There is no error indicating the Jurisdictional file is missing until you have completed setup. If the game is not Ram Cleared first the game will show 12.10 and require a Ram Clear.
Power the Game Off.
Open the main door, and then the Logic door.
Remove the System CF and Insert the RAM Clear CF module into the System CF Module slot.
Power the game on and it will go through the RAM clear process.
When the CPU Fan shuts off or you cannot hear anything happening in the logic box, the RAM Clear is done.
Turn the cabinet off after it finishes the RAM Clear process.
Remove the RAM Clear CF and Insert the System CF module.
Power the game on and continue with the initial configuration.
Perform a Ram Clear Class 2
Class II Ram Clear should not be done by the technician through the menu as it does not perform Ram Clear. If the cabinet is needed to Ram Clear, please call Technical Assistance at 1(877) 358-6300 to perform Ram Clear.

Saving Logs into USB flash drive
To pull logs on a class 3 Atlas or Atlas 3D game you need to have a USB formatted Fat 32.
With the cabinet powered on, insert the usb into any open port on the logic box.
Enter the tech menu (Red Key) and go into the Control Menu.
Select Save Logs to USB. You should see a message either saying it did or did not work.

Purpose
To generate consistency and eliminate confusion, this policy and procedure will outline the proper steps when Field Service has game or controller logs that need to be sent to TAC for review and potential escalation. This is the same process even if you cannot get logs from the game or controller.
When an issue needs to be alerted / escalated to TAC:
After logs are obtained in the field (if possible) and need to be sent to TAC, the preferred method is by email.
An email should be sent to support@playags.com and tac@playags.com that contains your ticket number followed by @@1 in the subject line so the logs will automatically be attached to the ticket in the system.
Please enter a brief description of the issue. Below is an example of an email with the correct info entered:
In the ticket, create an activity for TAC by using the “Need TAC” stop code.
Please note – TAC will assist with any logs that have size limitation errors. Please make sure to notate if you are having any issues sending the logs over in the main notes section of your ticket. The TAC agent that picks up the activity will reach out to you for further guidance.
Service PM Cycles: PM’s completion within every 90-120 days. Best practice is to allocate a MINIMUM of 5 Minutes per game.
If PMs cannot be completed within the 90 day frame because of special circumstances, they need to be scheduled for completion AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
PM Process:
Inspect outside of game for any repair needs to be performed:
Button deck bolster
Cabinet Lights
Frame damage
Perform 60 second battery test on UPS.
unplug the UPS, if the game stays ruining for 60 seconds the battery passes, if not replace. C101277

Fully clean Bill Validator.
Perform Functions/IO checks:
Touchscreen – Calibrate and test.
Verify Operator and Attendant menu key switches are functioning.
Test all accessible Cherry/Cricket switches.
Buttons: Run functions and lights tests. Lights need to be uniform in color hues. If not, replace bulbs for uniformity. If caps are cracked or yellowed from age or nicotine, replace with new clear caps.
Sound: Must be operational, and levels set in Operator/Tech menu to allow for reasonable attracting volume when player menu set at max.
Topper IO tests – Re-calibrate features as needed.
Ticket In/Ticket Out tests (If possible in your jurisdiction).
Verify peripheral Firmware versions to ensure they are correct and up to date. If not, take necessary steps to update per location regulations. Run NCFI Tool when items are out of date.
Wipe down machine exterior and base, and perform final inspections of appearance.
If AGS owned/provided chairs, inspect for cuts, cracks, missing sliders, missing/broken pieces.
If unsure about condition, or unsure if a full chair replacement is necessary, please escalate to your manager to confirm replacement.
Suggested goal to keep the Minimum Appearance Standards on our games is to do a walk through/observation of your games every time you are at a location, when and where applicable.
