Add Deck

It is necessary to add a new deck to the Shuffler in order for the system to properly recognize the specific cards in use.

  1. From the Main Menu, Select the Gear Icon to Enter the User Menu.

  2. In the User Menu Select the Maintenance Button.

  3. Enter the Password and Select the Enter Button.

  4. In theMaintenanceMenu Select the Deck Setup Button.

  5. From the Deck Setup Menu Select the Add New Deck button.

  6. Enter a name for the deck and Select Enter.

It is best practice to use the card manufactures description for the deck name. For Example: Bee Jumbo where the manufacturer is Bee, and the deck type is Jumbo.

Note: The deck of cards will be processed through the shuffler in a specific order. Fist in one direction and then rotated 180° processed again.

Start with a deck of cards in order from bottom to top: Ace-King of Spades, Ace-King Diamonds, King-Ace of Clubs, King-Ace of Hearts, and finally the two jokers on the top.

I can confirm your deck is sorted in the correct deck add order.

in general, the advice is to try deck add as many as half a dozen times in a row until it succeeds.

    1. When Prompted to Add New Deck, Place the Deck in the Infeed Tray.

    2. The Shuffler will input the Deck.

    3. Select Accept to accept the shuffle.

    4. Remove the Deck from the Outfeed Tray, Rotate the Deck and Place the Deck back in the Infeed Tray.

    5. Select Accept to accept the 2nd shuffle

    6. Once the Deck Operation Successful message appears, Navigate Back to the User Menu.

    7. Select the Current Deck button.

    8. Find the New Deck in the list, Select it and Select Done.

    9. Navigate back to the Deck Setup menu.

    10. Select Maintenance > Maintenance Password > Deck Setup > Delete Deck

    11. Select the Deck to be Deleted and Select the Delete Selection(s) button.

    12. Select the Return button and repeat if necessary.

    13. Delete all decks not used at the location.

    14. Note: The active deck will not show on the list of decks to delete.

    Game Setup

    Note

DO NOT skip reading this note: You must have one game selected before exiting the menu. If you do not have a game selected and you exit, it will brick the SSD on the motherboard. Do not ask how we figured this out….

Most Stud poker games played in a casino are listed in the Games Selection menu. The user menu can needs be configured to show only the games at the casino where Pax is installed. A check box next to each game in the game selection menu will show if the game is to appear in the user menu.

Select Gear Icon > Maintenance > Maintenance Password > Game Setup > Edit Game

    1. Select the Game to be Configured.

      1. To configure select Game Setup in the Maintenance Menu and edit each game. Select yes or no to display the game in the user menu.

    2. Enable (default) or Disable the Dealer Cover Card / Green Button Press Options.

Note: Pax can be configured to hold the first packet of cards or automatically eject the first packet into the outfeed tray. Select enable Dealer Cover Card/Green Button Press to require a green button is press or a cut card placed on the outfeed tray to eject the first packet of cards. Select disable Dealer Cover Card/Green Button Press to automatically eject the first packet of cards after the cards have been shuffled.

    Test Run

After setup is complete 10 test shuffles with a deck of cards in use at the location should be performed.
