Tools:
Right angle USB-B to USB-A. You can find these on the button deck panel of the Icon or the top monitor of the Upright cabinet.
Laptop with drivers and programs.
Firmware file.
Programming CLS Firmware:
Pull the CLS out of the cabinet.
Connect the Right angle USB to the port on the top side of the CLS board
Push the CLS back into the cabinet.
Connect the opposite end of the USB cable to your laptop.
Launch Starwall Host App.
click on “Upgrade TI-430” box to all application to put the ECM board into boot mode.
A new dialog box will pop-up, click on the “Next” button, look for the next dialog box to indicate a device was found.
When the device is found click on the “Select Firmware” radio button and then select “Browse” to the location where you have the firmware update file, it should have a following format”..\Fxxxxx-EclipseCtrl_y.zz.txt” file.
This file is what will be sent to the CLS. click on the “Upgrade Firmware” button to start the upgrade.
When complete click the “Close” button which will remove the “CJ USB Firmware Upgrade” dialog box and put you back to the “StarWall Host Application” dialog box.
Notice that the Device F/W were the arrow is pointing should match the version you downloaded. This completes the firmware upgrade process for the CLS.
Close the application.
Remove the USB from the CLS and reboot the cabinet through the Control Menu.
