PAX Optional Urethane Brake Roller

The Pax-S Card Shuffler can better handle certain cards with a change to the top brake roller. The standard setup, the top and bottom brake rollers are both aluminum rollers. The optional setup is to replace the top roller with a urethane roller. The bottom roller remains an aluminum roller.

Installation instructions

• Remove outfeed and infeed trays

• Remove the two socket head screws attaching the brake roller shaft

• Remove the shaft and roller assembly

• Remove the e-ring from one side of the roller

• Remove aluminum roller, install urethane roller

• The roller has a one way clutch, position roller so it stops when a card passes

• If the oval washers are deformed, replace with heavy round washers C40-00470

• Install shaft and roller assembly with socket head screws and washers

• Snug screws and back off 1/8 to ¼ turn

• Adjust clearance between top and bottom rollers with two cards.

  • The two card clearance is only for the urethane roller.

• Press lightly on the top roller and tighten screws. Only a slight amount of drag on the top card is needed for this setup. The clearance should be equal across the entire roller

• Install trays and test run
