Spectra SL75 Lock Adjustment Procedure
SL75 Button Deck Door Latching Issues
The following issues may prevent the SL75 from latching correctly. If you encounter these problems in the field, the steps outlined below should help resolve them.
Issue 1: Latch Pin Misalignment
A loose latch pin nut can cause the pin to tilt, preventing proper latching.
Slide the button deck to the fully open position.
Tighten the 3/16 nut that secures the latch pin to the cabinet.
Close the button deck and check for proper alignment to ensure the latch mechanism secures correctly.
Issue 2: Button Deck Sagging
Sagging can cause the button deck to rub against the cabinet above the cash box door, causing latching issues and make it difficult to open and close.
Option A: Adjust the Button Deck
Slide the button deck into the fully open position.
Locate the six 3/16 locking nuts (three on each side) securing the button deck to the sliding rail.
Loosen the locking nuts, lift the button deck to the desired position, and retighten the nuts.
Close the button deck to check for proper alignment and ensure the latch mechanism secures properly.
Option B: Adjust the Entire Rail
Slide the button deck into the fully open position.
Remove the side trim panels on both sides to access the two locking nuts securing the rail on each side.
Loosen the locking nuts, lift the button deck to the desired position, and retighten the nuts.
Close the button deck to check for proper alignment and ensure the latch mechanism secures properly.
Reinstall the trim panels
