Convert Topper to Onboard Video
Spectra Cabinets are able to run topper video from an onboard display-port connection.
The cabinet needs:
System CF 21.2
minimum bios version .112 secure or non-secure
Display-port cable connected to the topper monitor

This process may require a ram clear.
Check BIOS Version
Turn the key to enter the Operator Menus (Red Key). This needs to be V.112

IF you already have the displayport cable under the logic box you can skip to step: Convert Topper to Onboard Video | Bios Swap:
Installation Steps: After powering down the cabinet.
Attach the DP adapter to one end of the DP cable.
2. Open the topper, by unscrewing the 2x M4 X 8mm Phillips flat head screws.
**Then lift up on the monitor and pull the bottom toward yourself. **
3. Route the DP cable (no adapter end) down through the neck of the topper, into the cabinet.
4. Plug the DP cable into the monitor.
5. You can either unplug the original HDMI cable at the topper, or at the media player.
We suggest the one connected to the media player.
6. Bundle the lengths of the cables into the topper neck.
7. You can either unplug the original HDMI cable at the topper, or at the media player.
But you must unplug one end of the HDMI cable.
8. Bundle the lengths of the cables into the topper neck.
9. Return topper to its original position and reinstall the screw.
10. Open the Main monitor. Slide the button deck out and pull down on the PVC pipe.
11. Install the ferrite to the eclipse harness for the monitor as shown.
This is required for the game to pass UL requirements.
We want to take the subwoofer out of the way so that we can route the DP cable down to the logic box
12.Remove the front Subwoofer Grill, by removing the 2x 8- 32 x 1⁄4” Phillips flat head screws.
13. Loosen the 2x 8-32 Keeps Nuts, holding the subwoofer in place.
14. Route the DP cable on the right side of the cabinet as shown, along with the rest of the harness bundle.
15. Route it through the cutout underneath the sub, and then down into the bottom of the cabinet, below the logic box.

Unplug the HDMI cable from the media player.
Bios Swap:
Unplug the cables from the front of the logic box and pull it out of the cabinet, using the handle.
Optional step:
Remove the IO Board with the thumb screw as shown in the image. Or use your fingers in the next step.
Using your fingers, pop open the two BIOS
chip receptacles.
Remove the old chips and install the new ones.
Purple (non secure) or Green (secure) on the left.
Blue on the right.
Install the new BIOS chips into each location. The BIOS chip with the purple or green dot goes on the left. Be sure the dots are on the bottom right of the receptacle.
Install the blue dot BIOS chip into the right receptacle. (dot on bottom right) and close the door.
Reinstall the board over the BIOS chip receptacles by screwing down the thumb screw.
Reinstall the logic and connect all cables.
The topper Display-port cable will go into the bottom on-board video port.
