EPC - Embedded Progressive Controller (PS) Instructions
EPC only works with Spectra and Revel running the Redstone logic (which at this time is the only logic for these cabinets).
Network Requirements: Ensure that you have an isolated network on a standard gigabit switch. Connect the Game port on the logic to the switch for every game.
Host Configuration: Designate two games as Hosts; no more than two should be set as Hosts to avoid issues. A maximum of eight games can be connected on the same EPC network.
Maximum of 8 games connected via EPC. Do not go over eight games as this will cause issues with how the system works.
Game Requirements: All games must share the same set of pools without any extras. The Game OS needs to be version 24.1.3. Ensure that all games are EPC and not on a progressive controller, and they must have the same hold percentage and scaling if applicable. While the games do not need to be the same LCs, they should be in the same theme family.
Initial Setup: Perform a Ram Clear on the first two cabinets. Make sure to select Embedded Controller and check the box to set the EPS as Embedded Host.
Database Building: After configuring the first two games, allow them to build the database and connect to each other. Wait for any 42.X errors to clear. This process can take two to five minutes.
Auto Configuration: Once the only errors on the game are intrusion-related and 21.4, the cabinet is ready to auto-configure the Progressive. Set and save the configuration. Verify that the Primary rate is as expected and then press Save and Exit to Game.
Client Cabinets Setup: Continue the process on the remaining cabinets, but do not set them as EPC Hosts.
Single bank - No VLAN - does not work with a sign controller (yet).
EPC can be setup and run with just 1 Host. We are not hiding that fact, but we dont want you doing it so we are not showing you how. Always use two Hosts!
