AGS Cabinets Require a UPS Connection
AGS cabinets require an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to be connected to the logic box. This is because the software that runs on the cabinet is configured to look for a UPS and will log an error if it is not found. This can fill up the logs and SSD, resulting in an NV Ram Error (1001-1005, or 23.12).
In jurisdictions with secure boot requirements, it is recommended to connect the UPS cable to the blue USB3 ports inside the logic box on the motherboard. This will help to avoid 1143 UPS errors.
Here are some additional details about the UPS requirements for AGS cabinets:
The UPS must be connected to the logic box using a USB cable.
The UPS must be compatible with the AGS cabinet software.
The UPS must be able to provide enough power to the cabinet.
If you are not sure what type of UPS to get, you can contact AGS support for assistance.
Here are some of the benefits of connecting a UPS to an AGS cabinet:
Protects the cabinet from power outages
Provides a backup power source for the cabinet
Prevents data loss
