Detailed notes:
Cause of the issue: likely a short in the DCM port.
Troubleshooting: Isolated the issue by unplugging everything that was not essential to booting up the game and saw if the error was still there. (The error will NOT go away without a RAM clear (imagine the red text here))
My first troubleshooting steps were swapping the IO board (swapped the logic box), then the Power IO Module.
We originally did not get a 1.-1 error until we did and upgrade on the software. Original software version was Atlas 3D 20.2, new software is 20.2.2.
The original issue was that the main door was reading as closed (exact error was “This value can only be changed when the Main Door is open”), so no changes could be made to many of the options (i.e. credit limits and handpay methods). Was thought to be a software issue at first since no 1.-1 error showed.
When Mike Pino encountered a 1.-1 error, there was a short on the backplane that was caused by a stray screw that got stuck behind the backplane.
If it’s not the IO board/module, it looks like 1.-1 may also be an indicator for a short somewhere in the cabinet
